What you need to know to be able to compare the price of a session of hair transplant
1. What is the technique used for hair transplant? Is it the microfollicular hair grafting technique or the micrografting technique (for which the extraction of the grafts is done with the naked eye)?
For the last 12 years, we have using only the microfollicular hairgrafting technique in our clinics
2. Is it a session of FUSS with the extraction of a strip of the scalp or a session of FUE with the extraction being done graft by graft?
Both cases make use of the microfollicular hairgrafting technique, except that for an equal amount of grafts, the cost of one graft when using the FUE method is higher than that for which the FUSS (FUT) method is used.
3. What is the amount of grafts and not the amount of hair, implanted during one session?
In our clinics, we consider sessions of 1000 to 3000 grafts (i.e.between 2500 to 8000 hair)
Most clinics carry out sessions of only 500 to 1500 grafts
4. How many assistants are dedicated to the extraction of the grafts? 2, 3 or 4?
Each of our clinic has, for each patient, at least 10 dedicated assistants, using the microscope for the extraction of grafts.
5. How long does one session really last?
In our clinics, sessions for up to 2000 grafts last between 3 to 4 hours and for each additional 500 grafts, one more hour is required.
6. Is there an anesthetist present?
In each of our clinics, an anesthetist is present during the entire duration of the operation.
